(PARK HILLS) The Central Christmas Tournament Semi Final Round has wrapped up and the teams who with battle for the title have been determined. The #1 Central Rebels in game one topped the #5 Arcadia Valley Tigers by a final score of 66-51. The first half was a back and forth affair before the Rebels took the late lead off a layup from Horton.

 
The Rebels would pull away for the victory in the second half. After the game, head coach of the Rebels Josh Mapes says that his team improved their shooting as the game went on.

 
In the second semi final game the #6 Ste. Genevieve Dragons, fresh off an upset of the #3 Festus Tigers, gave the #2 South Iron Panthers quite a scare. With the score at 31-31 South Iron after 3 quarters of play, the Panthers would get a clutch 3 from Senior guard Dara Miller to take the lead.

 
It was a smooth sailing 4th as the Panthers outscored the Dragons 15-7 to take the 49-38 victory. After the game head coach Lawrence Graves says close games like this can help the team moving forward.

 
The 10-0 Central Rebels and the 9-1 South Iron Panthers will battle for the Central Christmas Tournament Title Monday night at 6 on J98. 7-2 Ste. Genevieve and 7-3 Arcadia Valley will play for 3rd at 3 with the pregame show set for 2:45 on J98.
