Central visits Hillsboro in potential district hoops preview

A showdown of the 2 teams just named the top seeds in the upcoming Class 4 District 2 tournament comes to Jefferson County Friday as the Hillsboro Hawks host the Central Rebels.
The Hawks are the JCAA Large-School Division champions and are 19-4 behind seniors Mark Moore and Evan and Ethan Worley.
Hawks head coach Dan Johnson says his team is prepping for the district tournament with opponents from the district.
Central is 19-4 and won the Large-School Division in the MAAA.
The Rebels have won 7 straight behind Dream Team senior Breven McMullen, and they beat Hillsboro 58-44 in the semifinals of the Central Christmas Tournament back on December 30th.
