(PARK HILLS, Mo.) – Senior hitter and setter for the Central Rebels volleyball team Avery Norris signed Tuesday morning to continue playing the sport at Mineral Area College.

With the decision, Norris gets to stay in Park Hills to further her athletic and academic career.

She says getting to stay local is a great fit.

Norris is admittedly a bit on the quiet side, but was still a captain for the Rebels this year.

With that in mind, her head coach Tracie Casey recalls one of her favorite Avery moments.

Now that Norris is off to MAC, she’ll be led by Tim Copeland.

The head coach for the Cardinals tells us what drew her to recruit Avery.

Avery Norris also made the Regional Radio Dream Team in 2019.

Tune into J-98 for a full interview with Avery on that subject next Tuesday at 9:30, plus we’ll have another story on Norris next week.
