Central’s Allie Kelly Named to Softball Dream Team

The Central Rebels softball team finished with a record of 22-4 this past season and a big reason for their success was because of Allie Kelly. The junior pitcher excelled both on the mound and at the plate. After being an honorable mention two years ago, Kelly was named to the Regional Radio Dream Team this spring but was surprised to hear her name called.

Kelly made it a goal of hers to make the Dream Team after coming up short her freshman year.

At the plate, Kelly was a 500 hitter with six home runs, 35 RBI, and even stole 21 bags. On the mound, the junior had a 16-4 record and 1.58 ERA with 172 strikeouts in 102 innings. She says the offseason work amid the canceled 2020 season played a big part in her success on the field.

Along with being a Regional Radio Dream Team member, Kelly earned all-state, all-region, all-district, and all-conference honors.
