Central’s Brent Wagner Named Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week
(Park Hills, Mo.) After helping to lead the Central Rebels boys basketball team to a Class 4 District 2 Championship last week, Brent Wagner has been named our Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week.
Across two district games, Wagner averaged 14.5 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1.5 steals.
Rebels assistant coach Mark Casey says despite an off night from the field in their first District game against Farmington, Wagner showed why he’s so valuable to Central’s success with everything else he was able to do in the game.
Wagner showed out in the District Championship against Hillsboro though as he poured in 20 points which included four three-pointers.
Casey says while the offense has always been there for Wagner, it has been fun to watch him become an even more well-rounded player this season.
As a senior with the Rebels it’s incumbent upon Wagner to be a leader for the team, and Casey says he has done just that.
As part of the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week, Brent Wagner will receive a t-shirt, a certificate, and the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy will donate $25 to a non-profit of his choice.
