Central’s Bridges named Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week

Central Rebels junior Jett Bridges is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.

In less than a half of football, Bridges broke the Rebels’ single-game passing record.

Bridges threw for 419 yards before the second quarter was even halfway done in a 61-0 victory over Fredericktown Friday night.

Central head coach Kory Schweiss says Bridges has grown leaps and bounds as a quarterback.

Bridges finished 31 yards ahead of the old school record, which was held by his current quarterbacks coach, Ronnie Calvird.

He also threw 5 touchdowns against the Blackcats, one behind his older brother Jake’s single-game school record.

As Athlete of the Week, Bridges receives a T-shirt, a certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
