Central’s Kannon Harlow Clears A Spot On Track & Field Dream Team

(Park Hills) An outstanding sophomore campaign on the pole vault landed Central‘s Kannon Harlow on the Spring Dream Team. Harlow finished 2nd at the Class 3 state championships in Jefferson City after clearing just over 14 feet. A freshman from Macon came in first place but Harlow thinks it may not be the last time they go to battle.

Harlow collected 1st place finishes at sectionals, the MAAA conference championships and at districts where he broke a 46-year-old school record by clearing over 14-and-a-half feet.

Harlow says the mentorship of outgoing senior and fellow pole vaulter Hunter Pirtle was great for his growth.

Harlow says he had an instant connection with the pole when he was first introduced to it.
