Central's Kelly named Applebee's of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Park Hills) Central Rebels senior Allie Kelly is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.

Kelly guided Central to the Class 2 District 3 championship with a pair of complete-game shutouts.

In 14 innings pitched, Kelly allowed just 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 17.

Kelly is closing in on 100 strikeouts this season, with an earned-run average right at 2.

She’ll look to lead Central to more success when they battle Houston in the Class 2 state quarterfinals Tuesday.

As Athlete of the Week, Kelly receives a T-shirt, a certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
