(Park Hills, Mo.) After leading his team to a championship in the MAAA Conference Tournament last week, Central’s Mason Williams has been named our Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play it Forward Athlete of the Week.

Across three MAAA Conference Tournament games, the freshman averaged 14 points, 4.3 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Rebels assistant coach Mark Casey says the expectations were high this season for Williams and he has certainly delivered.

Williams put on a show in the tournament championship with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, a block and was named Applebee’s of Farminton Player of the Game as the Rebels topped North County by a final score of 44-35.

Casey says the championship game was just another example of Williams doing whatever the team needs him to do on any given night.

As part of the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week Award, Mason Williams will receive a t-shirt, a certificate, and the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy will donate $25 to a non-profit of his choice.
