Cherryville Man Arrested for Stealing Pickup Truck in Cuba

(Cuba) Two Crawford County residents have been arrested, one for allegedly stealing a pickup truck in Cuba.
The theft happened June 18th at a residence on Smith Street.
A few days later on June 21st, a Cuba police officer observed that stolen truck on Phillips Street.
After police investigated at that residence, 22-year-old Evan Cavender of Cherryville was arrested.
Police say Cavender confessed to stealing the truck.
Another man was arrested in that home. 30-year-old William White of Steelville, a convicted felon, was in possession of a 9 millimeter hand gun.
He’s now facing the felony of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Cavender was charged with two felonies, first degree property damage and tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree.
Cavender has been denied a bond and he will have a confined docket hearing on Thursday and he will have counsel status hearing on July 6th.
