(Festus) Despite receiving one of the highest snowfall amounts in Missouri, the Twin Cities fared quite well during the winter storm on Sunday and Monday.

Road crews were able to clear streets quickly while traffic volume was down due to Presidents’ Day.

Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis says even with 9 inches of snow, it wasn’t bad in town.

According to Chief Lewis, they did have a few calls reporting vehicle slide offs; however, they didn’t see an abnormal or an influx in calls for service during the winter storm.
