Chief Tim Lewis on McMunn’s Sentencing

(Festus) During the monthly Quad City Police Chiefs Show on KJFF, Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis spoke about the recent sentencing of Angela McMunn of De Soto.

McMunn was the founder and former member of the non-profit Jeffco Shop with a Cop.

She pleaded guilty in Jefferson County Circuit Court earlier this month to fraudulent activities circling around Shop with a Cop.

Chief Lewis says his department assisted in the investigation.

Chief Lewis says it’s a shame that it happened; however, since then they have created a new Jeffco Shop with a Cop program and everything is monitored closing.

McMunn was ordered by the court to repay the entire $24,886.07 she’s accused of stealing.

She was also sentenced to four years in prison. But that sentence was suspended and she was instead placed on five years of probation.
