Child Abuse Awareness Month in April

April is Child Abuse Awareness month. Sarah Knapp is an investigator for the 24th Circuit Children’s Division. She says that child abuse and neglect could happen in any demographic or socio-economic class, and that the signs might be difficult to pick up on.

Knapp tells us who kids can talk to about any potentially dangerous or abusive situations.

Some more ways to spread child abuse awareness this April are by wearing the color blue or by displaying a pinwheel.
