Child Sex Trafficking Arrest in Washington County

(Sullivan) A rural Sullivan man has been charged by criminal complaint in Washington County with first-degree statutory sodomy, four counts of first degree sexual trafficking of a child, two counts of second degree sexual trafficking of a child, and a possession of child porn felony.
A news release from Prosecuting Attorney John Jones’ office says 28-year-old Bradley Nixon was officially charged on Thursday.
The complaint alleges that between September 10th of 2021 and October 19th of 2022, Nixon perpetrated at least one deviate sex act on his victim who was less than 12-years-old.
The complaint also alleges that Nixon used social media to cause his victim to engage in the production of explicit sexual material and then send those images to Nixon through social media.
Nixon’s child victim created and sent Nixon at least 23 explicit images in a 23-day period.
Prosecutor Jones, in the news release, says this case is a stark reminder to parents everywhere that the internet is an incredibly dangerous place for children and he encourages parents to make sure you know what your children are doing online, and who they are doing it with.
Jones goes on to say his Washington County office will always prosecute credible allegations of child sex abuse to the fullest extent that they can.
As of right now, Nixon is being held at the jail in Potosi with no bond.
