City of Pevely recent hires

The City of Pevely has hired to fill two prominent open positions. On Monday of last week, the Pevely Board of Alderman voted unanimously to hire Andy Hixon as the next City Administrator, and Mark Glenn as its next Police Chief.

Hixon was the Crystal City City Administrator from 2009 to 2012, before leaving to become the City Manager of Manchester. Hixon replaces Nathan Shauf who resigned at the end of June.

Glenn, who resides in Pevely, worked for the Washington University Police Department for 21 years and had been their Police Chief since 2016. Glenn began his career in law enforcement with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Previous Police Chief Alan Eichhoff resigned in September.

Hixon will begin his tenure as Pevely City Administrator on November 15th, and Glenn’s first day as Pevely Police Chief will be November 29th.
