Class 1 #2 South Iron Erupts From Three In 79-55 Victory Over Class 5 #8 Farmington

(Annapolis) The Class One #2 South Iron Panthers got hot from three in their 79-55 win over Class Five #8 Farmington. South Iron connected on 12 three pointers in the game, including one from Anna Parker just before the first quarter buzzer sounded…

Farmington led 18-16 at the end of the quarter, however, the Panthers outscored the Knights 48-24 over the next two quarters.

Parker finished with 31 points and made seven triples in South Iron’s 22nd victory of the season…

Maddie Ayers supplied 22 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Allecia Cornell scored 11 first half points to go with 5 assists and 4 steals. Enzley Dinkins had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Drew Gayle notched a three pointer in her five points scored while coming up with 4 steals.

The Panthers are now 22-2 and will play at Class Four #4 Doniphan Friday night before district play commences next week.

Farmington were led by Jade Roth’s 17 points. Brynn Johnson added 10 points and Madison Mills made three shots from beyond the arc. The Knights are 20-5.
