(HILLSBORO) The Hillsboro and Windsor boys soccer teams are meeting Thursday night on KJFF in the Class 3 District 2 Championship Game for the 3rd year in a row. The Hawks are coming into the match as the tournament one-seed with a 9-10-2 record and the Owls are carrying into the match a 13-11-1 record as the two-seed.

Hillsboro head coach Chris Schacht shares with us his takeaway from the 4-1 victory Hillsboro had over the Owls back on October 9th.

Windsor head coach Chris Kreuger mentions that his team just wasn’t right going into that loss to Hillsboro due to unhealthy players, but now they’re fully ready.

Hawks coach Schacht believes the X-factor for his team to survive the Owls and advance is junior forward Mark Moore.

The two players that have made the biggest impact on the goal-scoring side of things for Windsor are juniors Tanner Berry, with 15, and Grant Siegel with 11. Coach Kreuger talks about what makes them dangerous to go up against.

Kickoff for the Class 3 District 2 Boys Soccer Championship Game will be Thursday night at 5. DeSoto boys soccer head coach Nate Reiser will join Matt Greenwood for the call on AM 1400 KJFF and streaming here beginning at 4:45.
