(CUBA, Mo.) – The Class 3 District 3 boys basketball semifinals comes to J-98 Tuesday night. The first matchup features a rematch of last year’s championship game between the top-seeded Central Rebels and the fourth-seeded West County Bulldogs. These two teams met just 19 days ago in a game the Rebels won 69-63 in overtime. Head coach of the 18-9 Rebels Adam Barton said West County really impressed him in that game.

13-9 West County are led by head coach Chris LaBruyere. He believes his team is right on the cusp.

The second game of our doubleheader features a 2 vs. 6 matchup as the Steelville Cardinals face the Bourbon Warhawks. Bourbon comes in with a record of 17-9 and an upset victory over the 3-seed Jefferson Bluejays 75-69. The Cardinals are 22-4 and head coach John Tolly knows the post season is a new season.
