Class 4 State-Ranked Matchup Has #3 MICDS Coming Out On Top, 63-45, Over #12 Central On J98

(Park Hills) The 3rd ranked in Class 4 MICDS Rams held off the 12th ranked in Class 4 Central Rebels by a final score of 63-45 Tuesday night on J98.

After taking a 6-5 lead in the first quarter, MICDS led the rest of the way. The Rams shot 12-of-19 from beyond the three point line.

Jayden Banks led the way with 18 points and five threes.

 

MICDS held a 35-25 lead at halftime. The Rebels reduced the lead to nine points early in the fourth quarter but MICDS kept their foot on the pedal.

 

Mason Swartz scored 11 points for MICDS while teammates Brin Lewis and Jason Klutho added eight points each.

Banks joined the Patsy’s furniture postgame show to talk about his team’s ball movement on the night.

 

Central head coach Brad Gross credits the opposition’s defense for holding the Rebels to a season-low 45 points.

Mason Williams scored 15 points for Central while going 9-of-9 from the free throw line.

Central are now 12-2 and will head to Potosi on Friday.

MICDS are 11-3 and will face #4 in Class 4 John Burroughs on Friday.
