The Clearwater Tigers boys basketball team is set to begin the 2018-19 basketball season under some new leadership.

First year head coach Zach Moore takes over the reigns this year for the Tigers after coming over from Dexter where he was an assistant.

Moore has coached at numerous places in Missouri but this will be his inaugural season as a head coach at the men’s high school level.

One of those places was Poplar Bluff, where Moore both played and coached against Clearwater.

Moore inherits a team that went 11-12 last year and also one that lost quite a few seniors.
Clearwater does however return senior Heath Ayeres and junior Taylor Hicks who were two of the main bucket-getters from 2017-18.

The Clearwater boys open up 2018-19 in the Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Tournament on Monday as the 6 seed against third-seed Lesterville.
