Co-Ed Softball Tournament & Homerun Derby to Kick Off Bismarck Freedom Fest Saturday

(Bismarck) Most towns have Independence Day celebrations but no town in our area does the 4th of July weekend like Bismarck does it.

Freedom Fest gets going Saturday morning at 10 with a softball tournament fundraiser for the 2024 Bismarck Senior Class Project Graduation.

Mike Randazzo is organizing this fun tournament.

Besides the softball tournament, Saturday will also feature a homerun derby, on the left-handed hitter friendly field, that is the home of the Bismarck Indians baseball team.

To sign up your co-ed softball team and/or sign up for the homerun derby, call Randazzo at 573-315-8634.

And Saturday is just the start of a long extended weekend of red, white and blue fun in Bismarck.

Monday night at 8:30 as part of the Bismarck Freedom Fest, the Class of 2025 will host the Bismarck Glow Fun Run.

The start and finish will be at the preschool building.

It’s 20 dollars a person and your entry fee will get you a shirt.

The Bismarck Lady Queene Car Show will take place on the 4th from 11 until 3 on the restaurants’ parking lot.

Cars, trucks, A.T.V.’s and motorcycles are all welcome.

Tuesday night at dark, a big fireworks display will happen and then the Inaugural Community Drive-In Movie will take place on the baseball field.

The movie is free but donations will be welcomed because it’s a fundraiser for the Bismarck High School Student Council who will also be selling concessions during the movie.
