Coleman receives Republican Bid for 22nd District State Senate Seat

(Jefferson County) Out of a list of four candidates running for the Republican nomination in the state senate’s 22nd district, one has come out victorious.

Current State Representative Mary Elizabeth-Coleman of Arnold received the nomination with more than 34 percent of the vote or 7,614 in total.

Coming in second was Jeff Roorda with 5,245 votes, Representative Dan Shaul 5,093 votes followed by Representative Shane Roden with 3,886.

Right now the seat is being held by Senator Paul Wieland who is term limited out.

Elizabeth-Coleman will now face Democrat Benjamin Hagin in the General Election.
