Collins Earns Regional Radio Girls Basketball Coach of the Year

(STEELVILLE) – Area coaches voted Seth Collins of the Steelville Cardinals as the Regional Radio Girls Basketball Coach of the Year. After leading the team to a 24-5 overall record and its first-ever district championship, Collins says he knew his talented team could take the program to new heights.

Collins says they received great support from the Steelville community this year with both the girls and boys programs making the district title game.

After losing seniors like Hannah Cottrell, the program’s all-time leading scorer and Regional Radio Player of the Year, and Abby Booker, the Steelville record-holder for 3-pointers made. Collins says his team will be younger next season, but he has faith in them.
