Conditions favorable for strong to severe thunderstorms across eastern Missouri on Wednesday

(Jefferson County) Everyone in eastern and southeastern Missouri should keep an eye on the sky on Wednesday as favorable ingredients for strong to severe thunderstorms will come together.

Matt Beitscher is a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in St. Louis. He says all modes of severe weather are possible.

The storms will be firing along and just ahead of a strong cold front on Wednesday which will eventually lead into a “squall line” developing.

Storms are expected to push out of the region by sunset on Wednesday evening with sunny skies and temperatures in the low to mid 60s on tap for Thursday.
