Congressman Smith Says All Who Rioted at U.S. Capitol Must be Prosecuted

(Washington) Congressman Jason Smith was on the House floor right before Trump supporters entered the chamber at the U.S. Capitol in Washington where they rioted, caused damage, and ended with five people dead.

The Republican from Salem wants prosecutors to charge every suspect who broke into the sacred building.

Smith says Capitol Police instructed him and others in Congress to put on a gas mask, after tear gas was used to prevent rioters from breaking doors down. 70 individuals have been arrested so far with more to come.
