Congressman Smith Says Government Spending Too Much

(Washington) Southeast Missouri Congressman Jason Smith is the ranking Republican on the House Budget Committee.
The Salem man is against the Biden Administration’s proposed 1-point-9 trillion dollar COVID-19 relief package.
Smith voted against the bill, saying there’s been too much spending lately.

Congressman Smith took calls from Americans across the nation, on the network’s “Washington Journal” program.
A final vote on the relief package isn’t expected until late February or early March, after former President Trump’s impeachment trial which began today in the Senate.
