Congressman Smith Wants to Lead House Ways & Means Committee

(Washington D.C.) 8th District Congressman Jason Smith says he will not run for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Roy Blunt.

The republican from Salem says he is hoping to be elevated to the chair of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee.

He explains what that committee does.

Smith was originally elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2005 and has served in Congress since 2013.
