Conservation Commission Votes To Sell Timber in Reynolds, Wayne & Shannon Counties

(Jefferson City) The Missouri Conservation Commission met Tuesday for it’s regular meeting at the conservation department headquarters in Jefferson City.

The commission accepted a donation of 518 acres in Reynolds County as an addition to Logan Creek Conservation Area.

The commission approved the advertisement and sale of a little more than 703,500 board feet of timber in Wayne County.

The advertisement and sale of a little more than 1,280,000 board feet of timber in Sunklands Conservation Area in Shannon County was approved, and the advertisement and sale of a little more than 3,500,00 board feet of timber on Logan Creek Conservation Area in Reynolds County was approved.

Lonnie Hansen, the state’s cervid biologist was nominated for recognition as a Master Conservationist.

Also at the Missouri Conservation Commission meeting, approval was given to suspend or revoke hunting privileges for one year for
Christopher L. Boyd of Boss.
