(Farmington) Conservation officials in Missouri are thanking the thousands of deer hunters who donated almost 350-thousand pounds of venison to the state’s Share the Harvest program.
The donations included more than 67-hundred whole deer.
There were more than 100 participating meat processors throughout the state who grinded the donated deer meat into ready-to-use packages.
The donated deer meat goes to local food banks and food pantries to help feed hungry Missourians.
