(Farmington) The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services now has a statewide public hotline for citizens or providers needing guidance about the coronavirus or COVID-19.

The hotline opened at 8 a-m today and is being operated by medical professionals 24 hours a day.

The number is 877-435-8411.

D-H-S-S Director Randall Williams said, “communication is vital to our response to this rapidly-evolving situation.”

He says the COVID-19 webpage has been and continues to be a great resource for the public, “but having the hotline as an additional resource will likely be invaluable as citizens seek guidance for their concerns.”

A St. Louis woman who studied in Italy is the state’s only confirmed case. Forty-six patients in Missouri have tested negative.
