(Hillsboro) Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, Jefferson College has taken all the necessary safety precautions for its students and staff including requiring the wearing of face masks on campus, handing out safety kits, and even making hand soap dispensers easily available in school buildings.

President Dr. Dena McCaffrey was recently on the Jefferson College Report on KJFF.

We asked her how the number of COVID cases at the college have been trending over the spring semester vs last fall.

Dr. McCaffrey mentions a lot of factors have contributed to the remarkably low number of positive cases at the college.

As of right now, 3 students and 1 staff member are active with COVID-19.

Altogether for the 2020-2021 academic year, only 64 cases of COVID-19 have been reported at Jefferson College.
