Country Mart Grocery Stores Up For Sale

(Fredericktown) Town & Country Grocers of Fredericktown that operate 36 stores throughout Missouri has entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement to sell its stores including 8 stores in the local area: Bonne Terre, Ironton, Park hills, Potosi, Farmington, Fredericktown, Ellington and Piedmont. Shareholders will receive a letter and will then vote whether or not to make the sale. The votes are due in by late March. Should shareholders decide to sell the stores a due diligence period would then follow before the sale is complete. Country Mart told us that they have no plans to close any of the stores and that the purchaser intends to run all the stores rather than close any of them.
