County bike trail near Festus moving along

(Jefferson County) A future bike, hiking, and nature trail outside of Festus has been moving along in the last few months.

Over 800 acres of property was purchased by Chris and Renee Creed who own Pedal’n Pi pizza and bike shop in Crystal City.

Chris Creed says they have received some help with the project through their Living Life on Two Wheels non-profit group they operate.

Creed says they have big plans for the property and things are moving some.

The property for the outdoor bike park with hiking and nature trails will be located off Plattin Road south of Festus.

Participants that wish to contribute money to the project can purchase bike cutouts for $1 or $5 at area Express Mart stores.
