County COVID Cases up, weekly positivity rate down

(Jefferson County) Even though weekly COVID-19 cases are up compared to this time last week, positivity rates continue to decline in Jefferson County.

With the official CDC Week 44 health update, here’s Jefferson County Health Department spokeswoman Brianne Zwiener.

We asked Zwiener if coronavirus cases among children increased since Halloween.

In regards to vaccinations, close to 44 percent of eligible residents have been fully vaccinated in Jefferson County. That’s more than 98,000 people.

Other than the latest COVID news in the county, Zwiener provides a flu update.
