Coverage Of The MAC Rotary Shootout Can Be Heard On J98 And KREI

(Park Hills) It’s a full day of hoops at the Bob Sechrest Fieldhouse in Park Hills with six high school games, a couple of unified games and then both Mineral Area College teams in action to conclude the 2022 Rotary Shootout. We’ll broadcast all the high school games on Regional Radio.

West County are on the heels of an overtime win over the 6th ranked Steelville Cardinals. West County coach Chris Labruyere says it was a big win, but hopefully not the last big win of the season…

Farmington has a quick turnaround after playing state ranked Cape Central on Friday night, the Knights get Fox at noon at the Bob. Coach Garrett Callahan says it will test his young team…

We’ll shift to J-98 for the the final two high school games. The top ranked South Iron boys are scheduled for a 3:00 tipoff against St. Pius. The Panthers are unbeaten at 7-0, while St. Pius comes in at 2-4. South Iron coach Dusty Dinkins says they are looking forward to the shootout…

The Panthers beat the Lancers in the shootout last year. St. Pius coach Chris Miller says South Iron is always a tall task…

The North County boys conclude high school play against DeSoto. Dragons first year coach D.J. Hardy was an assistant for Jimmy Palmer at North County before taking the DeSoto job. He’s looking forward to introducing his team to the shootout…

DeSoto is 2-6 before their game against St. Paul Friday night. They can match their season win total from last year with their next victory.

Following the High School games the MAC women play Dyersburg State and the MAC men take the court against Daley.

Between those games a pair of Central grads, Mark Baker and Greg Leet, will be inducted into the St. Francois Rotary and Mineral Area College Hall of Fame.
