Covid-19 cases dropping but testing site is still up

(Hillsboro) Covid-19 cases continue to decline in Jefferson County as the CDC 2022 Week 4 numbers are about to be released. Jefferson County Health Department Director Kelley Vollmar says things are certainly moving in a more positive direction.

For those that still need to be tested for Covid, the drive-thru testing event at the Hillsboro Civic Club is back on today (Wednesday).

Vollmar says they did have to close their offices down last week due to the winter storm.

Yesterday (Tuesday), the JCHD reported 122 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of positive cases to 51,687 since March of 2020. The total number of active cases is 1,065, and there have been 456 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
