(Hillsboro) Positive Covid-19 numbers in Jefferson County remain high, but they are dropping at a very slow pace. Jefferson County Health Department Director Kelley Vollmar says the numbers are declining across the entire state.
Vollmar says one reason for the slow drop in numbers is the fact summertime and vacation time is pretty much over.
Vollmar says there were a few big increases in numbers at a few of the area school districts, but they are back under control.
Despite the slow decline in numbers, Jefferson County remains in Red status in the Covid-19 color guidance indicators.
