(Park Hills) Experts are saying that a surge in coronavirus cases could lead the U.S. to having 4 thousand deaths per day by October. Ashley Thornton is the nursing supervisor at the St. Francois County Health Center in Park Hills. She says they continue to urge people who haven’t been vaccinated to do so.
The warnings come after 49 states are seeing more cases climb due to the contagious Delta variant of the virus. Per the CDC, Arkansas and Louisiana are experiencing high amounts of community transmission. The same is said of Florida, with the exception of one county.
