COVID Numbers Setting Records In Missouri

(Jefferson City) The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Missouri continues to set records.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports more than 33-hundred people are being treated at the hospital with the virus across the state, with almost 700 patients in intensive care.

The new case number for the rolling seven day period has surpassed 59,000.

At least 30 people have died of COVID-19 over the last week.

Just over 54 percent of eligible Missourians are fully vaccinated against coronavirus.
