Crawford County To Get New Highway Patrolman

(Steelville) Crawford County will soon be seeing a new highway patrolman.

A news release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says Corporal Jeremy McCurdy will be promoted to the rank of sergeant and assigned as the zone supervisor of Zone 9 in Crawford County.

McCurdy became a highway patrolman in 2010. After graduating from the patrol academy, he was assigned to Zone 11 in Franklin County.

McCurdy has recently been serving as the assistant zone supervisor for Zone 2 in Phelps and Maries counties since June of 2015.

McCurdy is a 2003 graduate of Triad High School in Troy, Illinois.

He continued his education at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg where he played football and earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice.

Sergeant McCurdy is married and has two children.
