Crawford Electric Cooperative Election Results Counted After Annual Meeting of Members

(Bourbon) Election results are in for Crawford Electric Cooperative after the annual meeting of members Wednesday morning at the co-ops headquarters between Bourbon and Sullivan.

In District 1, there was a three-way race and it was fairly close.

Rick Adams wins a three year term on the Crawford Electric Board of Directors.

He received 974 votes, Dean Brandt had 871 votes and the Incumbent Janice Dorson fell short with 845 votes.

There were two other uncontested board of director elections.

Debbie Willette wins a 3-year term in District 2 and Joe Cason wins a term on the board for District 3.

Members also voted on a proposition and voters overwhelmingly said yes to a change in the bylaw that will help protect members’ local control of the electric co-op.

Most members, 2,604 of them, voted early and several hundred members voted Wednesday morning during the annual meeting of Crawford Electric.
