Crisis averted at new Planet Fitness in Festus

(Festus) The new Planet Fitness location in Festus opened its doors for the first time on Monday. The new facility was able to avoid a disaster over the weekend after a smoke alarm sounded at the location prior to the opening. Festus Fire Chief Kevin Craemer says the department was alerted around 6 o’clock Saturday evening.
Again, there wasn’t a fire at the new Planet Fitness and no damage reported. The now open business is located near the KFC in the Goodwin property in Festus.
