Crystal City battle Bismarck boys in district semis on KJFF

(Crystal City) The Crystal City Hornets and Bismarck Indians get their chance in the boys’ basketball postseason when they face off in the Class 2 District 4 semifinals Wednesday on KJFF.

Crystal City has been on a roll since New Year’s Day, winning nine of their last 13 games to improve to 10-11.

Senior guard Donovan Tullock has been a scoring sensation, averaging over 21 points per game in his senior season.

But Hornets head coach Phil Tessereau believes his team is in for a tough test.

Bismarck is 3-17 after cruising past Viburnum in the district quarterfinals, snapping a 12-game losing streak.

The Indians have lost their last 4 meetings with the Hornets, but Crystal City battles Bismarck this time for a spot in the Class 2 District 4 championship game.

Coverage starts Wednesday evening at 5:45 on AM 1400 KJFF.
