Crystal City Chooses Reiter For Next Superintendent

(CRYSTAL CITY)    Crystal City School Board President Linda Schilly says the district’s next superintendent, Dr. Crystal Reiter, has already participated in meetings with the board and staff as Dr. Reiter says she is looking forward to officially becoming the superintendent July 1st. Schilly says Dr. Reiter was unanimously chosen by the board a week ago to be the replacement for the retiring Matt Holdinghausen. Reiter says she is looking forward to becoming a part of the community.

According to Dr. Reiter, she is excited to work on improving student success.

Schilly says Reiter will be the first female superintendent for the district. Schilly comments on what impressed her the most during Reiters’ interviews with the board.

Dr. Reiter has 27 years of educational experience and during the past six years she has served as a director, assistant superintendent and interim superintendent for the Normandy Schools Collaborative in North St. Louis County. Prior to that she served 21 years as a teacher and administrator in the Hazelwood School District.
