Crystal City cruises past Bismarck in boys’ district semis on KJFF

(Crystal City) It was smooth sailing for the Crystal City Hornets in a 65-36 victory over the Bismarck Indians Wednesday night in the Class 2 District 4 boys’ basketball semifinals on KJFF.

The Hornets were firing on all cylinders from the start.

Crystal City lead 28-8 at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

Seniors Donovan Tullock and Carson Short each scored at least 23 points as the Hornets won for the 10th time in the last 15 games.

Head coach Phil Tessereau pointed to the defensive intensity as a bullet point from the game plan that was delivered.

Crystal City is now 11-11 and advances to the district championship game for the second straight season.

The Hornets will take on Valley of Caledonia Friday night, a game you can hear on AM 1400 KJFF.
