(CRYSTAL CITY) The 6th-seeded Crystal City Hornets fell 61-41 to one-seed Saxony Lutheran Tuesday night in the semifinals of the Rolla “Duke” Herbert Classic.
The Hornets kept it close early, actually leading 4-3 midway through the first. The Crusaders went on a 10-0 run towards the end of the quarter, but then Crystal City’s Hunter Bassin got the last bucket with time expiring.

The deficit grew though and by the end of the 2nd quarter, the Crusaders led by 11. The Hornets tried to keep it close in the 2nd half, but Saxony’s Andrew Schwarting took charge from deep.
