Crystal City Historical Society Museum Soft Open for Members

(CRYSTAL CITY) The Crystal City Historical Society will hold a “soft opening” this Saturday and Sunday, for members of the organization at its new home, The Girl Scout House. The museum’s new location is located off Mississippi Avenue at 500 Strawberry Alley. The group recently moved from a space near Crystal City City Hall. The relocation of artifacts took place after repairs were made to the inside and outside of the Girl Scout House. Society member Clayton Loughary says the group received great help from the city to make the move.
Loughary says there are many interesting items in the museum and his favorite is a United States World War I uniform.
The members only “soft opening” this weekend will be Noon-4pm both days. The cost is $20 to become a member of the historical society. You can become a member by going online and making payment at www.crystalcityhistory.com/Membership/
