Crystal City Man Arrested After Placing Fake 911 Call to Police

(Crystal City) Charges are being sought against a 29-year-old Crystal City man who allegedly placed a “swatting” call to Crystal City Police back on September 9th.
Crystal City Police Chief Chad Helms says they got the call just before 8:30 that morning.
Upon further investigation by detectives, police were able to locate the suspect who allegedly placed the fake 911 call.
The name of the man has not been released pending formal charges from the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
