Crystal City Police report an increase in traffic crashes

(Crystal City) It’s no secret that vehicle accidents involving fatalities is on track to reach more than 1,000 year.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting 320 people have died in motor vehicle crashes so far this year.

Locally, Crystal City Police Chief Chad Helms says they have dealt with an uptick in crashes.

Chief Helms adds to drive in a responsible manor, especially in highly travelled areas.

Crystal City Police is expecting to have an increase in patrols heading into the Memorial holiday weekend at the end of this month.
