Crystal City soon to decide on new councilperson to replace Tony Becker

(Crystal City) A replacement for now-former Crystal City councilman Tony Becker will likely be named next week. Becker resigned from the board after he and his family moved to Webster Groves in St. Louis County. Crystal City City Administrator Jason Eisenbeis says losing Becker on the board was a big blow for the city.

Eisenbeis says two people applied to be considered to replace Becker on the council.

Becker still works in Crystal City as he owns Custom Insurance on Mississippi Avenue, and plans to help the city any way he can moving forward. The new council member will likely be named at the next Crystal City council meeting next Monday night.
